Essay Contest

Our annual essay contest engages the next generation of medical researchers, clinical practitioners, and public health specialists in questions of science and policy.

Lectures

Lasker Lectures explore fundamental scientific questions and elucidate topics of pressing interest in medical research and clinical practice.

  • University Lectures address research topics in an academic setting. Past lectures have taken place at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Institute, the University of Washington, the Scripps Research Institute, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the University of Southern California, and Morehouse School of Medicine
  • APSA Lectures take place at the annual meeting of the American Physician Scientists Association
  • Lasker Public Lectures in Honor of Al Sommer, in partnership with the Secret Science Club, invite the public to explore the way science is practiced

Lessons in Leadership

A collaboration with the International Biomedical Research Alliance and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program, Lasker Lessons in Leadership provides practical advice and inspiration to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Lasker/NIH Scholars

In partnership with the National Institutes of Health, the Lasker/NIH Scholars Program provides crucial early-career support to medical researchers.

IRRF Initiative

In collaboration with the International Retinal Research Foundation, the Lasker/IRRF Initiative is a multidisciplinary approach to accelerate discovery of sight-saving treatments and ways to prevent retinal degenerative diseases.

iBiology Partnership

The Lasker/iBiology Partnership brings high-quality, free educational resources to students, scientists, and the general public. iBiology seminars and magazine pieces feature researchers telling the story of science from a firsthand perspective. The Young Scientist Series promotes communication skills among early-career scientists.

Internships

The Lasker Foundation has an internship program for undergraduate and graduate students interested in science, philanthropy, and science policy.
