APSA and the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation partnered in 2014 to bring Napoleone Ferrara, recipient of the 2010 Lasker~DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award and discoverer of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), to the 10th APSA Annual Meeting/2014 Joint Meeting of the ASCI and AAP. Napoleone Ferrara delivered the 2014 APSA/Lasker Award Lecture, “Therapeutic Applications of VEGF Inhibitors: Progress and Challenges.”
